I WENT OUTSIDE TO WATCH THE SUN RISING THROUGH THE AUTUMN MIST.
THE TEMPERATURE WAS 5 DEGREES CENTIGRADE, ALMOST LOW ENOUGH FOR A FROST.
THERE WAS A SOLITARY BLACKBIRD SINGING IN A TREE.
IT WAS A GOOD MORNING FOR A BOWL OF HOT PORRIDGE
(COOKED WITH SULTANAS SO I DON'T NEED SUGAR).
IT WAS A LOVELY WAY TO START MY WEEKEND.
I HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND TOO 😊
MARGARET xx
It looks like a chilly morning, I hope the day has warmed up a bit for you.
ReplyDeleteIt turned out to be quite a nice day, really :)
DeleteThose spider webs are wonderful. We don't see those here. 5oC. That's cold! Hot porrdige is defintely needed to start a day like that
ReplyDeleteIt sounds strange to not have cobwebs. I presume you still have spiders?
DeleteI've not thought to add dried fruit to my porridge....
ReplyDeleteYou want to try it Marlene. I add them with the oats and cook them together - you might like it!
DeleteSummer is not even here yet, and your pictures have me longing for fall!
ReplyDeleteI can feel the seasons changing from your pictures - and a warm breakfast sounds alike the best way to start the day!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos all of them - reminds me that living somewhere with 4 real seasons definitely has its attractions.
ReplyDeleteSpiderwebs everywhere are such an Autumn thing, aren't they. They look so amazing. We put raisins in our oatmeal but I'm afraid I still add brown sugar ( and cream if I have any).
ReplyDeleteThat sunrise would get my heart singing for joy! So beautiful. The spiders must have had a party.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful start to your day and weekend Margaret
ReplyDeleteBlessings
