THE DUCKS KEPT DOING WHAT DUCKS DO.
THE PUKEKO CHICKS ARE GROWING BUT NOT FULLY INDEPENDENT YET.
SHOPPING WAS NEXT ON THE LIST.
I TREATED MYSELF TO SOME SUSHI FOR LUNCH.
THE SUN SHONE BRIEFLY THIS AFTERNOON AND THEN THE BLEAK CLOUDS ROLLED IN AGAIN.
KEEP SMILING!

Lovely to see the pukeko chicks. And the ducks on the lake. Wonderful NZ nature photos
ReplyDeleteNot the sunniest of days, I must admit Margaret. Your lunch looks delightful, and I love the shots of the bird life down by the lake

I love your use of fresh to describe the cold. Islanders here on PEI use it the same way!
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of a pukeko before, they are very similar to our swamp hens. Sushi looks good, I bet you have some good sushi down there!
ReplyDeleteOne would think so, but the best sushi I've ever had was in Arizona!
DeleteI do love a pukeko. My English partner can't say pukeko (he gets all illiterate when faced with non-English words🙄) and they get called Graham birds for his benefit. I can no longer remember who Graham was....
