A Little Worn Out

TODAY BEGAN WITH TOMATOES AND SCRAMBLED EGGS (YOU WILL HAVE TO IMAGINE THE PARSLEY GARNISH!)
MORNING CHORES INCLUDED A VISIT TO THE SUPERMARKET, MOSTLY FOR MORE FRUIT AND VEGGIES TO SEE US THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
I WAS FEELING TIRED BY LUNCHTIME  - I'M STILL LEARNING I CAN'T DO AS MUCH AS I USED TO - SO THE AFTERNOON WAS SPENT CURLED UP WITH A BOOK (SOMETHING I NEED TO DO MORE OF, I FEEL).

GEORGETTE HEYER HAS LONG BEEN A FAVOURITE AUTHOR OF MINE, SO I DON'T MIND READING HER BOOKS OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

  1. Some days can be like that...I had a granny nap myself this afternoon. I don't think the cold damp weather helps :)

    1. An afternoon nap used to be such a luxury - but now I enjoy it quite often!

  4. The Unknown Ajax is one of my favorites by Heyer, although that list tends to be a long one. Glad to see you back, just rediscovered your blog yesterday.

  5. Having worked in the grocery industry for 30 years, I found that picture of the produce pretty interesting.

    1. I find it quite fascinating how different supermarkets set out their produce :)

  6. It's great to read you again Margaret. I love scrambled eggs too, but tomatoes don't agree with me, so a side of mushrooms, or bacon for me, please. Georgette Meyer is a favourite of mine too, if I need something frothy, and I reread The Unknown Ajax, and The Grand Sophie while in hospital for nearly three weeks with a really bad reaction to a chemo drug. Now I'm home and recovering well. This week I'm reading an early Kerry Greenwood. At the moment I do not need nasty violence or suspense.

  8. I cannot believe how much I have slowed down...I guess that is part of aging. I used to toad Georgette Heyer...when I was young.
