Wild In The Garden

ON A WANDER AROUND OUR HOUSE SECTION, I DISCOVERED SEVERAL INSTANCES OF NATURE IN THE WILD.
THERE WAS THIS TOADSTOOL IN THE LAWN

A PRAYING MANTIS WAS OUT HUNTING FOR SOMETHING TO EAT
I DISCOVERED A PATCH OF WEEDS THAT SON HASN'T DEALT WITH YET
SOMEHOW, "ALICE IN WONDERLAND'S" CATERPILLAR HAS SLIPPED IN HERE AS WELL
WHATEVER WE DO, IT SEEMS NATURE WILL STILL CARRY ON AS NORMAL AS IT POSSIBLY CAN.
WHAT A BLESSING THAT IS.

  1. I had a laugh at the weeds in your garden as I have the same problem and can't ever get rid of them all. Love the praying mantis too, haven't seen one for ages here.

  2. I love finding toadstools, or fungi of any kind really! It has been a long time since I saw a praying mantis...

  3. Your post is spot on Margaret – I just came in from weeding to cool off for a few minutes. Frustrated by two things: I hate heat and humidity and the weeds are never ending battle. I found myself quite jealous of those who have gardeners who deal with both the heat and the weeds! I guess on the bright side I’m burning calories-a cool drink and I’m back at it. Hope it’s a good weekend for you!

  4. My daughter was over and she showed me some sketches she did of a toadstool. Seeing yours today I wondered if you were tempted to bring it in and use it as a model.
