It's Official

IT'S OFFICIAL - IN MY BOOK ANYWAY!
THIS MORNING WE HAD OUR FIRST PROPER FROST FOR THE SEASON.
I LOVE HOW CRUNCHY THE GRASS GETS.
AN EARLY MORNING FIRE WAS MOST WELCOME
THANKFULLY, THE COLD MORNING WAS FOLLOWED BY A GORGEOUS DAY.
ISN'T THIS LITTLE HEARTSEASE PANSY SWEET?
CHEERS,
MARGARET xx

  1. You had your first frost and today and yesterday we had our first days with temperatures in the high 20's.
I love Pansies and their tiny cousins the violas which I know as Johnny-Jump_ups. They have self-seeded themselves in so many places and unlike some other vigorous self-seeders are very welcome.

    1. Crunching in frost is a bit like kicking through autumn leaves. A touch of childish, maybe, but always lots of fun! :)

  5. Definitely another frost again here today, and also forecast for tomorrow - I did not venture out onto the grass - just looking at it outside my bedroom was as close as I wanted to get to it! I well remember crunching through it to the clothes line in years past.
Another great selection of photos, Margaret

    1. I can remember hard frosts from when we lived around Matamata and Tokoroa. Hamilton doesn't seem to get those. Stay warm, Maxine :)
