Our Pets

SON BOUGHT SOME NEW BITS FOR HIS RATS TODAY.
STORM CAME TO SEE WHAT HE WAS DOING.
BOTH STORM AND SILVER ENJOYED GNAWING ON THEIR NEW LAVA ROCK (the yellow thing) - MADE TO KEEP THEIR TEETH SHARP AND GROUND DOWN.
MILLIE CAME TO SEE WHAT ALL THE FUSS WAS ABOUT.
BUT MITTENS JUST YAWNED AND WENT BACK TO SLEEP.
LIFE WOULD BE SO EMPTY WITHOUT OUR PETS.

  1. Funny, my son had pet rats as well, then one of my grand daughters did as well. You get quite attached to them, even if you think you won't.

  2. Yes, I agree that pets add a real richness to everyday life - I love having a pet, and Tinker (my cat) is such a good 'fit' for me.

  3. I would be like Mittens...at least this morning.

  4. They are very cute really - even the non-pet one that we would prefer was not collecting food in our yard. We just wish Mr T was still around to discourage the the free-ranging one / encourage it to forage somewhere else. He would have been less sanguine about caged ones than Mittens of Millie seem to be.

  5. Although our pets vary, they do offer the same comfort and companionship.

  6. You’re so right - what sweet, loving, fun company they are. I was so sad to lose Azzie, but how odd - 2 new cats have suddenly appeared and decided to call this home - hmmm, sounds silly, but maybe he sent them…as my daughter says, there’s always room for one more. 💕

  8. Millie is the curious one!! The funny things our pets do keep life from getting too humdrum.
Yesterday I watched as Kitty tried to fit herself into an empty box that was obviously too small LOL.
