THIS WEEKEND, LIKE MOST WEEKENDS LATELY, I'VE WATCHED QUITE A FEW "SUPER RUGBY" GAMES.
MY DAPHNE IS STRUGGLING A BIT, SO I MOVED HER TODAY TO A SUNNIER SPOT TO SEE IF SHE WILL LIKE THAT BETTER.
I HOPE EVERYONE IS HAVING A GREAT WEEKEND.
MARGARET xx
Daphne can be a fussy girl :) but very pretty and scented when she behaves.
ReplyDeleteI'm really hoping she will flower for me this year, after having none last year.
DeleteWe've had a few cold nights here and the fire has been going, the cats are very happy about it.
ReplyDeleteMillie sprawls out in front of the fire and loves it. Mittens is terrified. They are both so different :)
DeleteIt certainly was a hard frost today - no fog here, thankfully.
ReplyDeleteYou daphne likes to be a bit acidic, so use some citrus fertiliser for a boost, and keep her feet dry too. I lost a few before I discovered that...
Son in Law is loving the rugby - I don't watch now
Blessings
Maxine
Thanks for those tips Maxine. I will have to get some fertiliser (may help the yellow leaves, fingers crossed). Thankfully our fog never lasted very long.
DeleteI wouldn't recognize a Daphne if I saw one. I googled it. It looks very pretty when it blooms. I hope yours begins to do better.
ReplyDeleteIt has the most amazing scent and always reminds me of my mother, who always had it in her garden.
DeleteWe are still getting some warm days here but the nights are cold, and there has been no rain for a few months now so we are hoping for some. Gardening is sometimes hit and miss insn't it? I have had to move things here so they are in the right position and have lost a few too. Good luck with yours!
ReplyDeleteYes, gardening can be a bit hit and miss - I guess that is part of the charm of it LOL
DeleteI hope Daphne likes the sunnier spot...and I love that foggy shot.
