I had some fun this morning. The battery went flat in my car key fob, so I used the key to open the door and the alarm went off!
I fiddled around with a few things and it eventually stopped - son thinks perhaps there was enough charge left to allow me to start the car and thus stop the alarm. Who knows? LOL
We are slowly getting the house back into order again. The pile of boxes is growing smaller each day.
Son and I are both loving the new feeling in the house. I smile every time I walk in the door!

Is it a Blue Flax Lilly? So pretty! My car sent me a message one day that my battery was low in the key fob so I stopped by the car dealership and they replaced the battery for me. Who knew! Hope you get unpacked and settled in soon, nice to have new paint and carpeting!
ReplyDeleteNice to know the new decor has had the desired effect. And just in time for Xmas.
ReplyDeleteYou have given me something else to think about.. my fob. Thise berries are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely having a house you're happy with 😃
ReplyDeleteIt is good you are so pleased with the reno. And you had two lovely get-aways besides.
ReplyDeleteThe plant is a NZ native, Dianella ( Turutu ). Mine has flowers more blue than purple.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ali Honey - I looked up that name and found it :)
DeletePretty color on the walls, glad you are satisfied with your 'new' home. Can't remember I have seen that plant, pretty purple berries
ReplyDeleteThose fobs can be strange. When I use mine to open the driver's side door the seat goes into recline...I mean it goes all the way back. When husband uses his fob all is normal.
ReplyDeleteWhatever that plant is the berries are quite pretty. GM
i as thought it was a type of flax...
ReplyDeleteMy fob battery went flat, and then I discovered that although the key will open the door, it won't start the motor...
Thankfully once the battery was replaced all was resolved. I now know what the red key icon means on the dashboard!! :)
The house looks stunning - so glad you are happy with the results
Blessings

looking forward to seeing the house when you've 'moved' back in :) Lucky you having a nice relaxing time away - and it stayed fine.
ReplyDeleteI've seen that plant too but can't remember it's name. I like how when I'm sorting out my house, I get to throw stuff out or take it to the op shop.
