A Food Processor Day

MY LITTLE MINI FOOD PROCESSOR WAS GIVEN A WORKOUT TODAY.
FIRST UP, I MIXED UP SOME TRUFFLES.
I DOUBT THEY WILL LAST VERY LONG!
NEXT, IT WAS TIME FOR SOME SHORTBREAD.  I'VE NOT MADE IT IN THE PROCESSOR BEFORE, AND IT WASN'T BIG ENOUGH SO I ENDED UP WITH A BIT OF A MESS AND HAD TO FINISH IT BY HAND.
IT STILL MANAGED TO COOK ALRIGHT.
LAST TO GET DONE WERE CHICKPEA PATTIES FOR DINNER TONIGHT.
THEY'RE NOW SITTING IN THE FRIDGE WAITING TO BE FINISHED OFF BY SHALLOW-FRYING UNTIL HOT AND GOLDEN BROWN.
IT FEELS LIKE THE DAY HAS BEEN QUITE PRODUCTIVE 😁

  1. That's a handi-dandy wee processor Margaret... and it certainly had a good workout. Your shortbread looks lovely.

  2. Yum …your cookery looks lovely. I haven’t made truffles for years. I like the idea of chickpea patties and have found a recipe to try.

  5. SO what do you put in your chickpea patties? I need ideas on how to use up more of them.

    1. Basically just a can of drained chickpeas pulsed until crumbly (not paste). Manually add seasonings (I'm still trying to sort out what I like best), 1 beaten egg and 1 Tbsp flour. Shape into patties and roll (carefully!) in crispy breadcrumbs.

  6. I love truffle, hmmm.... not the sweet way, though. But everybody as they like :-)
    Nice to see you back.

    1. Hi Iris. I've never tried real truffles - never even seen one, actually, although we can buy truffle-flavoured olive oil (which I've also never tried).

  7. Food processors sure are handy. I have them in small, medium and large...all bought used and all work well.
To think I managed for 30 some years without one! You got a lot done and it all looks good.
