Most of the painting was finished while I was away. It's surprising how much brighter and larger a space appears when it gets painted in a lighter colour.
I am loving the new colours in my bedroom.
Everything has to remain packed up until the carpet goes down next week. I still have some china-ware to pack and then my part in preparation will be done. I've been stacking boxes of fragile things in the bath so they won't need to be moved around to make way for the carpet as it goes down through the house.
Our strawberries are now producing and we have been able to pick a handful every couple of days. The new plants Son bought this season are producing mammoth size berries - what a shame he can't remember what variety they were!
Sorry I haven't been able to visit other blogs the last couple of days. Hopefully, once things settle down here my routine can get back to being normal again.
Keep smiling 😃

Yummy looking strawberries! I did the same thing years ago I stack everything in the bathroom upstairs that I could when we got carpeting. I am sure you will be happy when it is all over!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of work before the painting and the carpet and afterwards. But the room looks light and airy.
ReplyDeleteI would sure live to have some fresh strawberries.. yours looks delicious. I love those colors on the walls, too.
ReplyDeleteThe strawberries look delicious. You will soon be settled back in by the sound of it.
ReplyDeleteI like your wall colour, we are painting something similar but a bit lighter throughout the house at some point.
ReplyDeleteYour room is looking great. I love that you have a teddy bear on your bed.
ReplyDeleteThe strawberries look perfect. How do you keep birds from pecking at them?

You’ll be all settled in before the holidays - that will be so nice! And those strawberries look great! I’m sure if you take a look at what’s available for planting the name will come back to mind. Enjoy them!
