For my lunch, I had a hot milk chocolate drink and a bacon, cheese and onion toasted sandwich.
Then, this afternoon, son whisked me off to his favourite hardware shop to buy interior house paint.
The house has a couple of walls that need repainting and I'm also going to have my bedroom freshened up.
I don't have to do any of the painting myself - that is what I have sons for!
My choice was for a creamy yellow with a pale blue feature wall (the photo colour isn't entirely accurate).
Our whole home is in quite an upheaval - but by the end of the year it should feel like a new house.
I'm looking forward to that!
Margaret xx
ReplyDeleteExciting!
Oh Margaret - my son doesn't 'do' practical stuff, but SIL is amazing - and I heard today that we will have shelves and a hanging rack in our wardrobes before Christmas - after 12 months of making-do, that will be wonderful.

My son hates DIY - he is cross that he didn't watch or join in when his Dad did stuff - especially with the car.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a good day out and now I'm looking forward to seeing the paint on your bedroom walls. That's a great photo of the Dunedin Railway Station on your header. Did you take it yourself?
ReplyDeleteYes I did, Diana, when husband and I visited there in 2012 :)
DeleteThe colours look wonderful. How nice to be having a house revamp
ReplyDeleteThose colors will be wonderful! I would love to see the room when it is done.
ReplyDeleteThe end results always win out on the mess created whilst decorating.
ReplyDeleteFresh paint adds such a lovely look and feel to one’s home.
ReplyDeleteYou always have the most beautiful header pictures. Lunch sounds good! We need to paint a couple of rooms, and I just dread even starting. Seems like everything in the house gets turned upside down. :) But so pretty when the job is done.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember if I commented already or not. This getting forgetful sure is crazy. Anyway, I look forward to seeing your transformed bedroom💗💗💗
