She loves to zoom into a room at full speed and take a flying leap up onto the furniture.
Most of the time she is fine, but last night she managed to send herself, a vase, and a glass decanter full of pot pourri onto the floor.
The decanter shattered and the vase lost its handle.
I was afraid Mittens had cut herself but she seems to have escaped with just a few bruises.
With a bit of luck and a few spots of super glue, hopefully the handle can be reattached.
It won't be the same though 😕

Oh dear - hopefully Mittens will have learnt from this....

Oh bother! She's got a bad case of the zoomies! Now, looking on the bright side, that handle is at least repairable. A shame about the decanter, but the potpourri must have made the room smell wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCats will be cats! I still miss ours and the capers they got up to. Still remember coming down one morning to yarn tangled all around the kitchen table legs from them batting my knitting about!
ReplyDeleteInam glad she wasn't hurt. I would like to see more of the vase.. it looks to be a beauty
ReplyDeleteOh, I’m sorry, I remember one of our cats somehow got her head into a plastic grocery bag handle – the more she ran the louder the bag noise was and the faster she ran zooming into all kinds of things. I don’t remember how we finally got it off of her. Glue will do the trick for the handle, but I know how disappointing it is. Perhaps a visit to a charity shop (along with a sweet treat ) to find a replacement?
ReplyDeleteLucky youre taking it all philosophically. Not much you can do with a supercharged cat. Hope the glue sticks
ReplyDeleteWell, that's not good. Naughty Mittens!
ReplyDeleteI hope the glue does the trick and the handle can be reattached. Good thing Mittens was unhurt ( and maybe, just maybe, learned a lesson :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame. Hopefully it will repair well.
ReplyDeleteoh no, did she have the zoomies? I have 4 cats that like to do that.
