We have had a beautiful sunset tonight.
It is a fitting send off for Silver, one of our rats, who has passed away quite suddenly. We do not know what ailed him, just that he went from us very quickly.
That leaves us with one lonely rat, named Storm. Some rats are happy to be by themselves, but others will pine away with loneliness.
Time will tell which Storm is.
One of the down sides of having pets is having to say goodbye.
Margaret xx
Definitely one of the down sides - so sorry to hear this Margaret.

That rat is really cute.
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss. I had a Jaculus - one day all fine, then kaboom she had died. I hope she was in no pain.
ReplyDeleteHope Storm is not too sad xx
The goodbyes with pets are always sad. Hope Storm is ok.
ReplyDeleteI started a comment and think I accidentally clicked the publish button. I was saying I agree with you about the downside of having pets. I will get to thinking about the ones we have had through the years and miss them all over again! I hope Storm does okay.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so sorry. And it was so sudden. We do get so attached to our pets. Been missing you lately. Think I need to do better. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry about Silver's abrupt passing. I hope Storm is the kind that can live happily alone or you'll be on the look-out for a friend for him.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. I'm so sad for your, and Storm's, loss. I hope Storm copes, and perhaps discovers there are more treats when you don't have to share. XX
ReplyDeleteI’m so sorry, Margaret, I know it’s hard. They’re such sweet little souls. They really become a part of our lives - I try to think of all the love and joy they brought to me, but it’s still a sad time. I think Bailey was missing Azzie after we lost him-I do think they understand somehow. Will be thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteSo sad to say goodbye to our pets. :(
ReplyDeleteHopefully Storm is one that thrives on being alone as all of you adjust to life without Silver.
ReplyDeleteSorry you have lost a loved pet, Margaret. So sad. I hope Storm adjusts to being alone.
