A few of us gathered together last night to watch the Super
Rugby Pacific final. The Crusaders (from
Canterbury) beat the Blues (from Auckland) by 21 points to 7.
Being a supporter of neither team, it was a change to be an
impartial viewer and simply enjoy two evenly matched teams battling it out
against each other.
Other than the game, things have been rather quiet around
here for the last couple of days. We have
had a mix of heavy rain, thick fog, and weak sunshine, but no more thunder.
Today has dawned clear and sunny, so I'm hoping it will be a
nice day even if the ground is still wet underfoot.
The mice the cats keep bringing in have been more lively
than my computer mouse. It has been
giving me lots of grief lately (I use the inbuilt mouse) and I have to keep
plugging in the external mouse. One of
those little irritating things in life.
I read this morning that Space may be full of Vampires but
we wouldn’t know because all our telescopes contain mirrors (and, of course,
vampires are invisible in mirrors!).
Have an awesome day 😊
Margaret.
It is great that you share a love of sports with your son.
ReplyDeleteHaha. I had no idea that vampires are invisible in mirrors. m Actually I know next to nothing about them. I know next to nothing about Rugby either. When the boys were still living at home I tried very hard to understand various sports but I found them uninteresting. The sports, not my sons.
ReplyDeleteI gather it was a reasonable game, Margaret, but the Blues had no plan B when the Crusaders shut them down.
ReplyDeleteI had to smile about the vampire 'facts' - we live and learn :)
Blessings
Maxine
Sport is wonderful... I like to follow :-)) Well, we don't have rubgy... but a lot of other things. In any case, it's fun to cheer :-) and to be there.
ReplyDeleteNo, the vampires didn't show themselves here either... but we also have unusually high temperatures of up to 36 degrees in the shade (96 Fahrenheit) ... tomorrow it will rain and cool down.
Greetings to you. Have a wonderful sunday Viola
We are a rugby family, it's hubby's favourite sport, how is your son now, I hope he feels better.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marlene, between the painkillers and physio he is at least able to get around a bit now.
DeleteI wish I could go back to enjoying football like we used to. Roger does not even enjoy it now. But it used to be so much fun to watch our favorite teams.
ReplyDeleteNow! THAT is a POST TITLE!!!!!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteYes must be nice to just watch a well played game without having any favorite!!!
Mouse troubles. :-) -sigh-
Your last.... A possible idea for a new tv show.... *VAMPIRE IN SPACE*!!!! -grin-
