My fingernails are not long and I seldom wear polish, but I do
like them to look cared for. Over the
years I have swapped between using a steel nail file and emery boards when
manicuring my nails, but recently I heard of a glass nail file.
An online search discovered “crystal glass” nail files for
sale at several outlets, so this morning I purchased one. It even has its own little case to keep it
in.
Like any new toy, I have now tried it out! There was no problem with the filing and it
left a nice smooth edge to the nails. A white
powder (nail dust?) accumulated on the file, but this was easy to brush
off. The instructions say it can be
washed in warm water as well.
The one thing I have found unusual is that it has left my
smooth rounded nails very sharp – excellent for scratching anyone if I ever
felt so inclined!
Stay happy 😊
Margaret.
I have never heard of a glass nail file. Live and learn.
ReplyDeleteI have not heard of this nail file I will have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteUntil your last paragraph I thought it sounded great.
ReplyDeleteHow strange that the new file left your nails sharp. My own nails are looking pretty bad after a season of gardening. Hopefully winter will give them time to grow out.
ReplyDeleteWow. For once Germany was faster! 😉
ReplyDeleteMy Mum presented me with one (she passed 2011) - I love and use only this one.
You get them at pharmacies here.
Enjoy and have a nice day! x
Who knew? Just scratch gently and then it's fun!
ReplyDeleteAre you a Game of Thrones fan? Maybe it is made from dragon glass and can have a dual purpose!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should convince F to get one for my 'nails'. Sharp and good for scratching right up my alley. xxx Mr T
ReplyDeleteNever heard of a glass nail file. It looks pretty. My nails sure need something!
ReplyDeleteI too have never heard of a glass nail file, sounds intriguing. I have recently lost my metal nail file which I have had for over 30 years, it is my house somewhere and I am waiting for it to turn up! Maybe I need to get a glass one while I wait....
ReplyDeleteHmmm, interesting - I will keep an eye out for one.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Maxine
I will have to check them out. Out if curiosity.
