Yesterday was a happy day, driving out into the countryside to a café on a blueberry farm, and meeting up for lunch with a large family group.
Today I am sad and stunned at the unexpected passing of yet another family member (not present yesterday).
My portable hard-drive is still throwing wobblies and my
computer keeps crashing on me. Our 15
year old cat needs to be put to sleep, the toilet is still out of action, and I
am worried about a dear friend that I haven’t been able to contact for over a
week.
It all seems to be piling up on me at the moment, so I have
made the decision to quit social media for a few days until I can gather myself
together again.
Sending love to all of you, my dear blogland friends,
Stay safe and be happy J
Margaret, xx
Oh dear, it is all happening at once isn't it. I hope things improve and that you, at least, get the loo installed soon. I know how you feel about your cat. Mine is continuing to go downhill but still seems happy at present although I don't know how long that will last. I hope you can get in touch with your friend.
ReplyDeleteOh, my, you have a lot on you. I am sorry for your loss, and sorry all this has hit you at once. Will pray for things to improve. I will miss you, of course, but take your time and come back when you feel able. We will all be here. Or not. I have taken some really long blogging breaks myself.
ReplyDeleteBe well my friend, there is a lot of hard things going on for you, so a retreat is a helpful idea. Come back soon. Oh, and food at a cafe on a blueberry farm sounds very soothing.
ReplyDeleteRelax and I hope tomorrow is a better day! :)
ReplyDeleteFair enough, good to take some time out to breathe.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry your having such a difficult time. Sending love. Heather
ReplyDeleteStay strong and safe, hope you feel calmer soon, in these strange times our emotions are all over the place.
ReplyDeleteOh Margaret - what a time you are going through - you will be in my prayers
ReplyDeleteBlessings

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your loss, it seems with covid many family member are passing. The portable hard drives are plentiful here, I am working on filling my 3rd one. It is little and compact like the phones now. I am sorry about your kitty too, I know it hard to let go. Take care, HUGS.
Take the time to regroup and come back when you are ready. We will be looking forward to hearing from you again.
ReplyDeleteHope things get better and your friend is well. Your mind is on other things right now!
ReplyDeleteTake the time, to find your peace, again....

THANK YOU MY WONDERFUL FRIENDS FOR ALL YOUR LOVELY COMMENTS. THEY REALLY MEAN A LOT TO ME, Mxx
ReplyDeleteYou are not having an easy time, thinking of you and hoping you come back to blogging soon.
ReplyDeleteMy good wishes.
All the best Jan
Oh Margaret, I've missed so many blog posts lately. Anyhow, hope everything falls into place and you will be back soon.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you and hoping you can come to terms with all the things that are piling up on you.
ReplyDeleteTaking some time for yourself is so important. Take good care of yourself.
I am sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteBut. I want it this way for myself, too, unexpected. There was an Austrian singer, Udo Jürgens - he was wonderful, he once even had a concert in Braunschweig, where we live, and we went, big WOW he was.
A couple of years later he went for a walk in the mountains, heart attack, boom, that was it.
I hope these words help you. My parents both were in hospital endlessly, he was on a happy walk and then it was over. Isn´t that the better way to go?
Sorry it all comes at once. Big hugs from here. "Hang in there", as they say...
Friends, family and pets put portable hard drives into perspective don't they. Blogging is a great network creator but its the ones you can touch and hold that have to come first. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
ReplyDeleteMargaret - I'm so very sorry you are going thru such a difficult time. Life is just not easy these days and despair is common. Hang in there. Thinking of you and hoping you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself and enjoy your break.
ReplyDeletePlease take good care dear Margaret and you really deserve a good break away from social media. I hope it gives you peace and I am sorry that you are dealing with such stress especially in these times. Sending you hugs and we'll patiently wait for your return to blogland <3
ReplyDeleteThinking of you. If that helps a wee bit.
ReplyDeleteI think about you daily....but I do understand just not feeling like blogging.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, I am sorry to hear of the death of your family member. Take care!
