What Next?

Yesterday was a happy day, driving out into the countryside to a café on a blueberry farm, and meeting up for lunch with a large family group.

Today I am sad and stunned at the unexpected passing of yet another family member (not present yesterday).

My portable hard-drive is still throwing wobblies and my computer keeps crashing on me.  Our 15 year old cat needs to be put to sleep, the toilet is still out of action, and I am worried about a dear friend that I haven’t been able to contact for over a week.

It all seems to be piling up on me at the moment, so I have made the decision to quit social media for a few days until I can gather myself together again.

Sending love to all of you, my dear blogland friends,

Stay safe and be happy J

Margaret, xx

  1. Oh dear, it is all happening at once isn't it. I hope things improve and that you, at least, get the loo installed soon. I know how you feel about your cat. Mine is continuing to go downhill but still seems happy at present although I don't know how long that will last. I hope you can get in touch with your friend.

  2. Oh, my, you have a lot on you. I am sorry for your loss, and sorry all this has hit you at once. Will pray for things to improve. I will miss you, of course, but take your time and come back when you feel able. We will all be here. Or not. I have taken some really long blogging breaks myself.

  3. Be well my friend, there is a lot of hard things going on for you, so a retreat is a helpful idea. Come back soon. Oh, and food at a cafe on a blueberry farm sounds very soothing.

  17. I am sorry for your loss.
But. I want it this way for myself, too, unexpected. There was an Austrian singer, Udo Jürgens - he was wonderful, he once even had a concert in Braunschweig, where we live, and we went, big WOW he was.
A couple of years later he went for a walk in the mountains, heart attack, boom, that was it.
I hope these words help you. My parents both were in hospital endlessly, he was on a happy walk and then it was over. Isn´t that the better way to go?

Sorry it all comes at once. Big hugs from here. "Hang in there", as they say...

  18. Friends, family and pets put portable hard drives into perspective don't they. Blogging is a great network creator but its the ones you can touch and hold that have to come first. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
