Fruit

FRESH PINEAPPLE  - imported, but on special this week. I love it with natural unsweetened yoghurt (the stuff that's chock full of lots of gut-loving bacteria!)
MANDARINS - the first ones for the season, and they're sweet and juicy!
APPLE CRUMBLE  - stew up 4 large apples. Mix 1/2 cup sugar with 1 cup flour then rub in 2oz butter. Spread over apple. Bake 180 degC for 25 minutes.

  3. yum! The good thing about Autumn is all the fruit, I'm waiting for our lemon trees to start fruiting but they are looking good so far.

  5. I'm going to try your crumble recipe, I can stew the fruit but I can never get the crumble right.

  6. Yum! Fresh pineapple is always good, and the other sounds delicious, too.

  7. not sure why but pineapples are imported here too and cost merely £1 (NZD2) so we eat a lot of them. They are good in lentil salad with a curry flavoured dressing (yep, I know, Weird, but curry and pineapple are a marriage just made for each other)
