Oh my goodness - can you still find those swift-whips anywhere? Mine is ancient (possibly on it's third generation) and so worn out that my father even bronze welded some of it back together a few years back. I love it better than any other design of hand beater ( and it wins over a few electric ones too)
I have one of those beaters too and still use it quite a lot.
