Have you ever felt that sometimes your life has turned a
corner? Or, as my uncle used to say,
started a new chapter in the book of your life?
After recovering from my surgeries last year, I am finding
that my whole lifestyle seems to be changing.
I have different priorities and my life is taking on a slower pace. In a few short weeks I am going to turn 70
years old, which makes me feel like I’m becoming a Senior!
I found this cute little kitty in a thrift shop recently |
I find I am struggling to get back into blogging. The joy has gone out of it for me (at least, for the present), so I am
going to put my blog into recess for a while and take a break.
I want to say thankyou to all the lovely friends I have met
through blogging. It is a great way to
make the world feel like a smaller place.
No doubt I will occasionally pop in to see different blogs, but
a decision of if or when I return to writing a blog myself will be left to the
future. I may just make a few postings at odd times, when I am feeling up to it.
One never knows what the future is going to bring!
All my love,
Margaret 😊
Best of luck, hope to hear from you again!
ReplyDeleteI'll miss your blogs Margaret. I'm a fairly recent follower, but our lives have similarities - age, recent surgeries upsetting the routines and a quiet life in NZ. I hope your health improves, and you get your Mojo back - even if it is a different-looking Mojo.
ReplyDeleteTake care and look after yourself. I’ll keep a look out for you if and when you return.
ReplyDeleteI will miss you, Margaret, but I wish you the best. Soon you again one day!
ReplyDeleteMargaret, wishing you all the best. Happy Birthday in advance. (Oh to be 70years young again.)
ReplyDeleteMargaret, it’s been a joy getting to “meet” you across the many miles. I’ve loved learning about how you spend your days and the beautiful scenery around you. Thank you for sharing all that and for taking time to visit my blog. It’s absolutely understandable that you need to take care of you - that is the highest priority. We'll miss your posts, but know we’ll all be thinking of you.Take care of yourself, rest, and enjoy every minute. Here’s hoping we catch up again!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break Margaret- Happy Birthday for the later 70th Birthday- my Partner is 74- a good age. Best Wishes. KEV. (Sydney- Australia). P.s...I like following your postings.
ReplyDeleteWill miss your posts from the other side of the world and hearing about summer when we are in the middle of winter.
ReplyDeleteTake Care - and enjoy your birthday. This time next year I will be a few weeks from 70 too. Must make the most of my 69th year
I understand how you feel, I'm a couple years younger than you, but the aging if finally catching up with me, my body has changed so much, I need more time to do most things. I will miss your post, seeing your summer through our winter months. Good luck, be happy and healthy.
ReplyDeleteIs the kitty possibly a ring holder too?
ReplyDeleteJean.
Have a lovely break from blogging but do return from time to time. I always wonder what happened to certain bloggers who seem to disappear forever. Are they okay? Did they pass away unexpectedly?
ReplyDeleteBlessings for you while you enjoy your Autumn 💗
I have enjoyed following your blog and will miss you. But to keep blogging must be something you do because you feel you want to, and not to please your readers. I just turned 70 too, and I think it is important that we do what we feel is good for us. Best wishes for you!
ReplyDeleteHope you return to blogging some day. I always enjoyed visiting with you!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday for when the big day comes around, Margaret. I know what it's like to lose your blogging mojo. It's happening to me, too but I'm not yet ready to call it quits, I'll just post if and when I feel like it. Take care of yourself and enjoy your next chapter.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm annoying myself so much every time I forget to identify myself.
ReplyDeleteI´m sad you take a break, but then blogging should be fun and if it isn´t anymore... I hope you come back, though! In Germany we believe that wishing a happy Birthday before the Birthday brings bad luck and as I don´t know the date I just say: It´s just a number (OK, that did not help me, when I hit 50), so: Have a great time should do the job, hugs
ReplyDeleteI seem to have slowed down so slow...it is hard for me to find time to visit blogs if I do post...and I don't have much to post about....yet, I miss it sometimes, too. Wonder what everyone was doing. I hope we both can get back into blogging.
