It was a first for this coming summer season – we put the
umbrella up out on the deck. The sun was
almost too warm to sit outside in, and I appreciated being able to sit beneath
the shade of the umbrella.
Millie and Mittens enjoyed being outside with me.
The garden is also showing signs of First – this is the
first time my iceplant has flowered for me.
The first of the strawberries are beginning to ripen.
And the first of the grapes are beginning to show
themselves.
I am still struggling with health issues, so my apologies
for not visiting blogland very much. It takes so long to get to see a doctor
these days (unless you are a medical emergency and can call the ambulance), and
I still have a week to go before I get to see mine again.
At least the sun is shining 😊
Margaret.
I'm sorry to hear of health issues...please don't apologize, you just take care of you! The deck looks so wonderful...I'd love a spot like that to unwind at the day's end or take a break in the cool umbrella shade. Enjoy every minute of it...the quiet and rest are good for the soul.
ReplyDeleteLove that bright ice plant. Hope you can get your health issues sorted soon.
ReplyDeleteSpecial Hi to Milly and Mittens - you are both looking beautifully fluffy (and winterish if I may say so). xxx TM (Good luck with the Dr thing.)
ReplyDeleteThey are both busy dropping fluff everywhere! :)
DeleteThe sun is shining and the garden is blooming! I hope your health issues are sorted quickly
ReplyDeleteWe also had a hot day here, and I can see if the weather keeps up I will be pulling my umbrella out also. You must be somewhat warmer than us though to have strawberries ripening like that .
ReplyDeleteI hear you about getting to see a GP - I am waiting also - thankfully only 10 days this time!!
Take care
Blessings
Maxine
So sorry to hear about your health issues, hopefully soon sorted.
ReplyDeleteWe changed to Autumn on Thursday last week - it was quite sudden and now it seems a long time 'til Spring.
Hope you are feeling better soon, it's the same here in UK, doctor surgeries are not working as they did before Covid and A&E are so busy because of it. Hope you are enjoying the rugby, I thought of you when watching here.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have been enjoying all the rugby :)
DeleteI'm sorry you're still struggling with health issues. It's hard when things drag on.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to have warm sunshine, first blooms, first strawberries... We're still in Autumn-ish weather with lots of cloudy days and showers. Temperatures have stayed reasonably mild; that will help make the winter less endless. Greetings to Millie and Mittens.
Granny M
I hope your health issues are resolved soon, Margaret.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better soon! Doctors is a hurry up and wait business:(
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your health issues, Margaret. Your deck looks to be a lovely place to enjoy the warmer weather. Just the thought of fresh grapes and strawberries cheers me up.
ReplyDeleteWonderful firsts, it´s a joy to see it all!
ReplyDeleteHere the trees still have green leaves but it´s cold - right now the sun is shining, too, though!
Sorry you are in health troubles.
With the docs same here. Made the app in September, the date is November 11th!
Well wishes from here! x
I bet it feels good to get out there soak up some sun and see things starting to grow!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of spring flowers and those delicious strawberries are ripening. Sorry to hear of your health issues, I'm sending positive thoughts, I hope it helps a bit.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful firsts in the garden! Best wishes with your health.
ReplyDeleteLove watching the world green up on the other side of the globe, via your pics, while we slide into fall and winter here.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better, Margaret :) xxxxx
ReplyDeleteDear Margaret, sorry to hear about your health problems. I hope that you have managed to get to see your GP by now and that things are all right with you. Your deck looks like just the right place for a relaxing time. The sun has been shining all day today, it has been quite a mild Spring this year, apart from when cyclone Lola passed through of course. Your strawberries look delicious, it looks like they should be ready for picking soon, yum! Please give Millie and Mittens a cuddle for me, they look so cute. Hugs, Rose x
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your health issues...now need to go back and see if you have told what they are. Of course our fall is about over and we are headed to cooler weather...I am enjoying your firsts.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, I hope all is well. Thinking of you!
