Hard to believe we are already into April, time seems to be
going by so fast lately. Is it really
that many years (decades!) since this photo was taken?
Another birthday has rolled around and made me another year
older. I had a really great day, and was
invited to dinner by my dear brother and his wife. We had lamb roast and it was delicious.
Autumn is slowly advancing and our nights are getting cool enough now for a blanket. Morning fogs are becoming more frequent.
Won’t be long
before I’ll have to fish out the hot water bottle again!
Tomorrow, son and I are off to Auckland again. I had to drive up there for an appointment on
the day before Good Friday – it took me two hours to drive up there and three
and a quarter hours to drive home again because of all the traffic leaving the
city for the long weekend.
Traffic tomorrow should be much better, and I will enjoy
being a passenger for a change. Might
even get a chance to take some photos!
Have a great day,
Margaret 😊
Happy, happy Birthday, to another great, healthy, happy, fun year!
ReplyDeleteMaybe, or hopefully a normal one, without masks....
Cute pic :-)
And ohhhh fog! Love that.
Looking forward to more photos, drive safely xx
Thanks, Iris :)
DeleteMy goodness that roast lamb looks wonderful, and even that weather viewed over Kiwi suburbia (with greenery and rotary clotheslines) is the best scene in the world. Happy Birthday for whenever you celebrated. F celebrated another turn around the sun just recently too. Autumn babies - I bet you both have some sort of attraction to the season. F says she loves its golden hues and the special kind of light that shines over paddocks late in an autumnal afternoon. xxx Mr T
ReplyDeleteHaha, Autumn is my absolutely favourite season :)
DeleteHappy belated birthday! I am glad that you will getvto.enjoy being a passenger for a change.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rose :)
DeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteMy Birthday is on April 12th.
Glad you had a nice time. I will be waiting for your pictures. Have a safe drive.
Thanks Catherine. My brother's birthday is on the 11th, plus two friends and an aunty this coming week - a busy birthday month :)
DeleteLooks like you had a wonderful birthday feast!
ReplyDeleteWe did, David - it was delicious :)
DeleteHow deliciously appropriate.... roast lamb in New Zealand! I bet it tasted marvellous. Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteEspecially with the mint sauce and lots of gravy :)
DeleteHope your next year is even happier and there are many more of them. Your dinner looks scrumptious.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the traffic
Thanks Linda :)
DeleteBelated Happy Birthday!!!! Another March baby! And what a 'cutie' you were. -smile-
ReplyDeleteYou are getting to time, to snuggle in and hibernate!!!! A really lovely time of year. If we embrace it, and really do, get some much needed rest. After the go-go-time of the hot season.
Enjoy!!!!

I was actually a cute early-April baby :))
DeleteHappy Birthday. You were a happy baby!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. I believe I turned a little grouchy when a baby brother arrived on the scene! :)
DeleteBelated best wishes! I hope this year will be a wonderful one for you, Margaret!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie, I hope it will be too :)
DeleteBelated birthday wishes.

All the best Jan
Thank you Jan :)
DeleteHappy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteThank-you :)
DeleteHappy Birthday!! It's still April 5th here so I'm not TOO late. How nice that you won't have to battle traffic when you go up for your appointment. I hope ll goes well.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I have fun with our birthdays being in two different hemispheres - if we miss one day there is always the next! :))
DeleteHappy Birthday! That looked like a wonderful dinner!
ReplyDeleteI felt very spoilt :)
DeleteHappy belated birthday Margaret - looks as though you celebrated in fine style. I love a lamb roast!
ReplyDeleteHope the trip went well today - it would have been a wonderful day to travel! We got to 25 oC...
Stay safe
Blessings
Maxine
Yes, it was a lovely day and quite warm in the car at times. Lamb is so expensive now that it is a real treat - I can remember when we used to eat it all the time :)
DeleteBelated Happy Birthday. It was Doug's youngest daughter's birthday yesterday which is when I assume yours was.
ReplyDeleteOh, a fellow Aries! I hope she had a good day :)
DeleteHappies birthday dearest Margaret! Thank you for taking us to that scrumptous meal! I am with you on wishes for best of health and a beautiful life, better than all years passed!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Stevenson - and I am glad you enjoyed my meal!! :))
DeleteFeliz cumpleaños con retraso. La fotografía es preciosa. Besos.
ReplyDeleteThankyou Teresa :)
DeleteBelated happy birthday, Margaret. That roast lamb sure does look good. Love your foggy, misty photo. Sounds like the half of Auckland that wasn't heading north for Easter was going south.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wonder where all the traffic comes from - and where everybody is going! It doesn't seem fashionable these days to spend time at home - which is where I would rather be on a city-exodus day :)
DeleteAnother belated Happy Birthday. Strangely I don't really remember the traffic in Auckland even though I drove in the city a fair few times. We have struggled above freezing today in the beautiful sun despite the 50mph 'breeze' blowing.
