Time Goes On

Hard to believe we are already into April, time seems to be going by so fast lately.  Is it really that many years (decades!) since this photo was taken?

Another birthday has rolled around and made me another year older.  I had a really great day, and was invited to dinner by my dear brother and his wife.  We had lamb roast and it was delicious.

Autumn is slowly advancing and our nights are getting cool enough now for a blanket.  Morning fogs are becoming more frequent.

Won’t be long before I’ll have to fish out the hot water bottle again!

Tomorrow, son and I are off to Auckland again.  I had to drive up there for an appointment on the day before Good Friday – it took me two hours to drive up there and three and a quarter hours to drive home again because of all the traffic leaving the city for the long weekend.

Traffic tomorrow should be much better, and I will enjoy being a passenger for a change.  Might even get a chance to take some photos!

Have a great day,

Margaret 😊

  2. My goodness that roast lamb looks wonderful, and even that weather viewed over Kiwi suburbia (with greenery and rotary clotheslines) is the best scene in the world. Happy Birthday for whenever you celebrated. F celebrated another turn around the sun just recently too. Autumn babies - I bet you both have some sort of attraction to the season. F says she loves its golden hues and the special kind of light that shines over paddocks late in an autumnal afternoon. xxx Mr T

  8. Belated Happy Birthday!!!! Another March baby! And what a 'cutie' you were. -smile-

You are getting to time, to snuggle in and hibernate!!!! A really lovely time of year. If we embrace it, and really do, get some much needed rest. After the go-go-time of the hot season.

    Enjoy!!!!

    1. Yes, it was a lovely day and quite warm in the car at times. Lamb is so expensive now that it is a real treat - I can remember when we used to eat it all the time :)

  18. Belated happy birthday, Margaret. That roast lamb sure does look good. Love your foggy, misty photo. Sounds like the half of Auckland that wasn't heading north for Easter was going south.

    1. Sometimes I wonder where all the traffic comes from - and where everybody is going! It doesn't seem fashionable these days to spend time at home - which is where I would rather be on a city-exodus day :)

  19. Another belated Happy Birthday. Strangely I don't really remember the traffic in Auckland even though I drove in the city a fair few times. We have struggled above freezing today in the beautiful sun despite the 50mph 'breeze' blowing.
