Life Goes On

Families all around the world have one thing in common – they all face good times and bad, happy times and sad.

Our family seems to be in the bad/sad side of things at the moment.  It is not something I am free to discuss, or would even want to discuss in the public arena, but current family dramas have left me feeling too sad and bewildered to post anything on here lately.

I know things will improve, they always do, so our family will recover and move on.  It just takes time and moving through each day as it happens.

If you like, it is a bit reminiscent of my journey through grief after losing my soul mate.  Live each day as it happens, move through bad times the best you can, and learn to be resilient.  Tomorrow is another day and hope must never be allowed to falter.

Our Weather Today

Life goes on, just like the tide that flows in and out, or the sun that rises and sets each day.

Hugz to all my dear readers,

Margaret.

  1. I feel for you and hope your family and your heart are healing. I lean on Jesus, he is always there and he is mighty to save and protect. I am a widow also, the early days I was in a fog of sorrow, so I send you a hug from California.

  3. It's not just you, don't worry. I have been estranged from a few family members over the last few months, there's been something about covid that brings out the worst in people sadly.

  6. Gentle hugs to you Margaret. Some times we can do nothing but stick with it, and wait for the sun to shine with more warmth tomorrow. That we're heading into colder weather doesn't make it any easier though, does it. Best wishes to you.

It is true, all families have some kind of sad/bad times. I hope things get easier and better for you and your family. Take care, have a happy new week!

  8. I hope that things work out for your family. Sometimes the difficulties can be insurmountable and the simple fact of blood or kinship ties does not ensure success in relationships. I can tell you this from personal experiences and it is better that estranged and antagonistic parties go their separate ways.

  9. Hugs to you, I sure feel your pain, with a Hubby chronically ill I fear to loose him, too. And I don´t know if I´d be as brave as you are. I wish you sunshine in your heart. xx

  13. You are right, life goes on. Many things we can't change no matter how much we would like to, but there are many things that we can change just by being brave and resilient and thoughtful and caring. Hugs to you and your loved ones.

  16. If experience is anything to go by lashing out at those we are closest to seems to be easier than taking out our disappointments on complete strangers. It is also more damaging of course as the recpient is emotionally invested - which I guess makes it seem more effective if you are the one determined to share your hurt or hurtful take on life. Fortunately in our case hatchets were buried before it was too late to repair things but there were years of hurt and bewilderment in the meantime. It makes me wonder about the source of such deep and embittered pain. I hope some common ground can be found, balance established, love wins through and your family can heal and flourish. xxx F and Mr T

  17. Oh Margaret - family dramas, especially when they are 'negative', are not for the faint hearted, and to face them on your own is even harder. My thoughts are with you.
    Stay safe
    Blessings and prayers

Live in hope and find positivity even in the darkest times. Not always easy...but worth trying
